Joseph J. Huprich

Partner

Areas of Practice

Labor & Employment  |  Business Litigation  |  Personal Injury

Background

Joseph is Managing Partner at Huprich | Vega.  He regularly represents clients facing employment law and wage and hour disputes between employees and employers.  He also handles complex business and personal injury litigation.

After graduating from the University of Southern California, he earned his law degree from the University of San Diego in 1997.  He then worked for several prominent law firms early in his career, but eventually forged his own path in 2010 with the predecessor firm to Huprich | Vega.  He has now joined with long-time friend and colleague, Roger Vega, to offer more comprehensive services to the clients they represent.

Joseph approaches each case with the understanding that his clients are often facing a life-changing event.  For that reason, he never shies away from those that others find too difficult; and he is known for his tenacity for the truth, looking for that needle in the haystack that can often make a case.

Case Results

  • Recently won dismissal of lawsuit against a family-owned business facing $20 million claim;
  • Obtained award of $1.5 million on behalf of business client after two week jury trial;
  • Has litigated claims of over $1 million involving unpaid overtime;
  • Negotiated favorable settlement of $1 million sexual harassment and racial discrimination claim involving retail business;
  • Negotiated favorable settlement of $750,000 highly contentious false imprisonment/personal injury claim against drugstore;
  • Negotiated favorable settlement of $250,000 “black mold” claim involving family who became ill after long-term exposure in their apartment.
